Following several months of analysing workstations and workflows at the end of the packaging line, LGR Packaging has completed the installation of 14 collaborative robots (cobots) at its pharmaceutical packaging manufacturing sites.
Objective: to optimise the palletising of cartons and standardise practices across our sites.
Tangible results:
- Standardised operations
- Enhanced industrial agility
- Increased back-up capacity to secure our customers’ supply chain
Beyond operational performance, this project is fully in line with our approach to preventing MSDs (musculoskeletal disorders) and reducing the physical strain of work. Working in direct interaction with operators, cobots take on repetitive tasks, helping to bring about a lasting improvement in working conditions.
Next step: the automation of ‘pallet flow’ logistics for ever more efficient workstations, with optimal ergonomics.
A concrete step forward for more efficient and safer workshops, and increasingly responsible production.
