Personal data protection policy

The purpose of this personal data protection policy (the "Policy") is to inform all individuals concerned about the way in which we collect and use personal data and about the means available to them to control this use.

By visiting our site and communicating electronically with us, you agree to our use of indirect personal data (cookies, connection information) as described in this document.

Also, if you wish to receive our newsletters, information about our products, etc., we will need direct personal data (name, postal address, e-mail, etc.). In this case, we will ask for your express consent to collect and use them. This personal data will only be used for the purpose for which you provided it.

Finally, if you wish to enter into or continue a commercial relationship, we will need to collect, process and use direct and indirect personal data.

We may occasionally make changes and corrections to this Personal Data Protection Policy. Please consult it regularly so that you are informed of any changes and how they may affect you.

 

1. What type of data is collected?

We only collect the personal data that you are prepared to communicate to us, in particular, but without limitation, via the contact form, during trade fairs, visits, commercial exchanges and prospection, and which we need to offer you our services and improve them:

    • first and last name ;
    • company ;
    • postal address ;
    • e-mail address ;
    • phone number(s) ;
    • industry and industrial sub-sectors ;
    • cookies. A cookie is a small computer file, a tracker, which is deposited and read, for example, when a website is consulted, an e-mail is read, software or a mobile application is installed or used, whatever the type of terminal used (computer, smartphone, etc

In any event, the personal data collected will be limited to that which is necessary for the purposes set out in Article 3 below.


2. What types of cookies are used?

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of our website. They are used to remember your choices and preferences on your account and to provide features that make it easier to use the site. They are also used to improve the performance and security of the site.

Audience cookies are also used to obtain statistics on the number of visits to our site (e.g. number of visits, pages most frequently consulted, etc.). We use this data to identify any problems with the site and to make improvements. All the information collected by these cookies is anonymous. If you do not authorise this category of cookies, your visit will not be taken into account for our audience measurement statistics. These cookies have a lifespan of 6 months.

 

3. What is the purpose of collecting personal data / cookies?

    • Identify your needs and provide you with the most suitable products and/or services ;

    • To manage our marketing activities.

 

4. How is the security of personal data ensured?

We take all measures required to preserve the confidentiality and security of your personal data, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016.

It may only be consulted by members of our staff, the staff of subcontracting companies (hosting providers) or authorised members of staff of our business partners (who have undertaken to keep all information secure). All members of our staff who have access to your personal data are required to comply with our internal policy on the protection of personal data.

We have taken physical, electronic and organisational protection measures to prevent any loss, misuse, unauthorised access or distribution, alteration or possible destruction of personal data. However, we cannot guarantee the infallibility of the protection implemented. Although we have taken reasonable steps to protect personal data, no transmission or storage technology is totally infallible.

If you have reason to believe that the security of your personal data has been compromised or that it has been misused, you are invited to contact our Data Protection Officer at the following address: dataprivacy@lgr-packaging.com. We will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints about the use and disclosure of personal data in accordance with the principles set out in this Policy.

Unauthorised access to or misuse of personal data may constitute an offence under local law, and you have the right to make a request to your local data protection authority.

 

5. What are your rights?

You have the right : 

    • to access your personal data;
    • to request rectification, updating or deletion of your personal data;
    • to restrict processing;
    • to obtain disclosure of your personal data held by us;
    • to object to specific processing of your personal data;
    • not to be the subject of a decision based exclusively on automated processing (profiling);
    • to data portability;
    • to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

 

6. How can I find out about, check, modify or delete the personal data I have provided?

You are entitled to ask us to provide you with all the personal data we hold about you. You may also request that your personal data be deleted, corrected or amended by sending an e-mail to dataprivacy@lgr-packaging.com or a letter to the attention of the DPO - LGR PACKAGING, route de Samognat - VEYZIAT - 01100 OYONNAX.

With regard to cookies, when you access our site, a "cookies pop-up" allows you to accept or refuse all cookies, or to personalise your choices. You can modify or withdraw your consent.

7. To which country will my personal data be sent and why?

We are an international company and your personal data may be transferred abroad, in particular to our sites located in different countries. This may be to countries which have laws that provide a different level of data protection to that provided by the laws of the country in which you provide it. We take appropriate measures to maintain the security of personal information during transfer and upon receipt of such information.

Please note that we may transfer your personal data outside the European Union, provided that before transferring it we have verified that the entities outside the European Union, including our sites, offer an adequate level of protection in accordance with European legislation. 8. How long are my personal details kept?

We remind you that you have the right to have your personal data deleted at any time.

If you have not requested to have your personal data deleted from our servers, your personal data will be kept only for as long as is reasonably necessary to answer a question, resolve problems, provide new services or improve existing services and comply with applicable legal requirements. Beyond that time, your personal data will be deleted from all our databases, unless a longer retention period is authorised or imposed by virtue of a legal or regulatory provision.

The ethics alert system enables our employees and co-contractors (service providers, suppliers, customers) to lodge an alert, in accordance with European Union Directive (EU) 2019/1937.
