LGR Packaging – Duran Dogan, winner of 2019 Silver Spiripack Award
The contest for innovation in spirits packaging organized during VS Pack exhibition in Cognac has awarded the no-foil metallization technology Gloss&Green• developed by Duran Dogan.
The Premium industry strongly appreciates « metallized effect » finishing which particularly enhances the brands. Up to now the polyester lamination has met this demand for cardboard packaging. However, due to the plastic foil used, this technology is no longer in line with current environmental requirements.
The Gloss&Green• process is the ecological alternative for this market : in taking the foil out of the material, it removes plastic from the final cardboard packaging. This one is thus fully recyclable, while offering an outstanding metallic or holographic brilliance.
Gloss&Green• is part of a global incentive-based approach to recycling and circular economy. Indeed, the foil removed during the process is recycled in-house by Duran Dogan into plastic material, which is unique and attests that the complete life cycle of the product has been taken into account.
