LEAFLETS WITH 100% RECYCLABLE PAPER LABELS: COOPERATION BETWEEN LGR PACKAGING AND REYNDERS FOR THE PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR

About 'tagsert'
A ‘tagsert’ is a thick leaflet made up of a large number of crossed folds, held together by a label.
This compact format is used in the pharmaceutical sector for products requiring a large amount of information to be made available securely. It is designed to adapt perfectly to packaging lines and to fit easily into cartons.

NEW: the paper label
Until now, the label used for tagserts was made of plastic. With a view to making this material fully recyclable, LGR Packaging and Reynders tested a version of the label made entirely of pure cellulose fibre, without any chemicals. The paper used for the label is FSC® certified (FSC Mix Credit, chain-of-custody number: CU-COC-807907, Licence Code: FSC-C004451), and the adhesive is acrylic-based.
‘Paper tagsert’ has been approved by laboratories and CMOs, who can now reduce the environmental footprint of their products and their value chain.

The leaflet at the heart of the circular economy
The fibre used for the leaflet is sourced from sustainably managed forests and comes from forest thinnings or sawmill waste. The extra-fine paper is printed using vegetable-based inks and an optimised recto/verso layout. While guaranteeing the security of information to patients, the material is recycled after use to produce paper again.

By working together on this complex leaflet with paper label, LGR Packaging and Reynders have put their respective expertise in cardboard/paper packaging and labelling at the service of sustainable packaging.
